Did you know that one in four parents are unable to find the information they need?
There isn’t a standard recipe for raising a child—a fact that parents with young children quickly realize. Moreover, the Perspectives parents initiative reveals that one in four parents have elevated information needs. It is interesting to note that their information needs concern child health and health care subjects more often than social-emotional matters.
Parents’ primary information sources are websites; their families; books, pamphlets and magazines; and health care professionals and social workers.
